Filmmaker and politician Dasari Narayana Rao came down heavily on actresses outside of Tollywood who didn’t speak Telugu while working in films here. He was present at the movie launch of ‘100 Degree Celsius’ in Hyderabad yesterday.
Dasari voiced his concern for the Telugu film industry and said that the TFI is turning into an English Industry. “Artistes have been speaking mostly in English. Even Titles were preferred with English Font. Telugu Film Industry is giving due respects to Heroines imported from other parts of the country. At least, They need to learn Telugu before acting is our films. This is my sincere and serious advice. I will stage a walk out if these heroines fail to speak in Telugu from now onwards’, threatened Dasari.
‘100 Degree Celsius’ is directed by Mithran R.Javahar and is bankrolled by Shobha Rani under CLN Media banner. The film reportedly has five actresses including Lakshmi Rai, Nikisha Patel and Arundathi Nair. It is a woman-centric film inspired by real life incidents.
