After Geethanjali, he donned a lead role in Jayammu Nischayammu Ra. Today the film has hit the screen finally. Let us see how the movie will be.
Sarvesh Kumar alias Sarva Mangalam (Srinivas Reddy) is a superstitious man, who is low on self-confidence and a follower of godman Pitha (Jeeva). Sarvam secures a government job and gets transfer to Kakinada municipal office from his native place Karimnagar. With a heavy heart, Sarvam left his widow mother and joins in the new job. There he comes across a beautiful girl Rani (Poorna), who is a Mee Seva Employee. He tries to woo her and decided to marry for a better life.
But after a series of unexpected events, Sarvam realizes that his low confident life has costed him in every possible way. So, he decided to be strong in every aspect and changes as Sarvesh Kumar. Srinivas Reddy carries the entire film on his shoulders and he keeps the acting too simple and cool. Kudos to Srinivas Reddy for choosing the good script and his excellent acting skills in the film is too good. Poorna is simply super as a beautiful girl-next- door. She is indeed flawless as a beautiful actress.
Well, trust us it is Ravi Babu, Praveen, Krishna Bhagawan, Posani Murlai Krishna, Jogi Brothers, Rahul Ramakrishna of Pelli Choopulu director’s Sainma Short film fame and others are the major asset of the film with their fantastic comedy.
Young director Shiva Raj Kanumuri deserves thumbs up for coming up with a good story that has roots in our villages and towns. The film depicts how a common man crippled by low self- esteem and few superstitions in the present society. The way songs are aptly blended into the narrative especially by a debutante filmmaker is worth mentioning and the production design is also commendable.
Even though this storyline is not something new to us, Shiva Raj managed to dish out an engaging and crispy film. What makes Shiva Raj to score marks is not for the sake of comedy but an integral part of the film’s narration.
However, Shiva Raj couldn’t score marks in dramatic narration aspect. He could have been treated the story with the right dramatic touch and cinematic accent, then it would have been a big next level entertainer. It seems the director prefers to keep the storyline simple and cool. Lack of proper cinematic emphasis and overall lag in the film are negative aspects in the film.
Jayammu Nischayammu Raa is a feel good clean entertainer with good content and moreover it’s a substantial attempt by debutante director Shiva Raj. Nature of the script and engaging screenplay with comedy will surely be loved by every section of audience big time.
