Director and producer Madhura Sridhar is gearing up to bring the life of Telangana Chief Minister KCR on the silver screen.
“My father participated in the Telangana movement of 1969. I fondly remember all the stories and happenings of that time. I’ve been a spectator to all the struggles to achieve a new bifurcated state. We conducted some research and were startled to find that the struggle and challenges that he faced were no less than that of what Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King, and Nelson Mandela had faced. This inspired me to go ahead and make a film on KCR.” , says Sridhar. He is all set to begin the shoot of the film on Telangana formation day on June 2nd, 2017 and will release it by KCR’s birthday on Feb 17th, 2018.
The interesting thing to note here is that KCR had opposed the Andhrites to form the new state of Telangana. Will the director be instrumental enough to pacify the Andhra audience? If not, the film will be limited only to Telangana audience.
