Well, the much-awaited biopic of the legendary actor Sr. NTR titled as NTR Kathanayakudu hits the screens today. The connect that the Telugu Cinema lovers have with NTR is just unbelievable and the film is a mirror of NTR’s real life.

Story Line:

We feel that some biopics on legendary actors are to be experienced rather than just putting them into words or reviews. NTR Kathanayakudu is all about an epic film and political journey of an illustrious actor. From being a part of glory-filled cinema world and political world, his personal life to his fandom.

Rather than narrating the plot of the film, it would be quite simple thing to say that NTR Kathanayakudu is the glorification of the rise of a brilliant actor and dynamic leader, who as an actor and politician sets the standards high for coming generations of Indian cinema as well.

Legendary actor NTR’s complete life is clearly illustrated by the director Krish Jagarlamudi and he brilliantly showcased almost every important part of his life from a government employee to the superstar of Telugu Cinema. NTR’s impeccable journey from being a stage artist to reaching a non-reachable place in the Indian Cinema and then his success is an inspiration to everyone. We strongly recommend that everyone must watch this movie to relive the glorious era amid the legendary actors.

Roles and Performances:

Nandamuri Balakrishna is what NTR will be remembered for days to come. NBK not only reprises his father role but also brings the realistic tang to that role. NBK is a true mirror of legendary actor NTR in this biopic. His being similar to NTR ushers the role. It seems Balakrishna has put his heart into the role.

Vidya Balan steals the hearts. Her flair and knack for acting will be remembered forever. Vidya Balan’s performance as Basavatarakamma is real and brings a homely-Telugu woman feeling.

Sumanth as ANR will be one of the most loved roles. Sumanth’s fascination with acting is visible on the screen.

Rana’s role as Nara Chandra Babu Naidu is limited but will steal the hearts for sure. The rest of the actors Rakul Preet, Hansika, Payal Rajput, Shalini Pandey etc. lived up to expectations. All the actors just re-lived in an era of the magnificence of Telugu cinema.

NTR Kathanayakudu is to be one of the best movies to watch this festive season. The director Krish narrated the actor turned politician life story in a realistic approach. A well-planned screenplay and an array of credibly brilliant characters is what NTR Kathanayakudu is made of. But the second half is  a bit lagging.

Technical Aspects:

A bow to NBK and Sai Korrapati for coming forward and attempting an epic movie like this. The production values are too good.  Coming to the director Kish, he lives up to the expectations. And his take over the real life of the legendary actor of Telugu cinema is just flawless. He deserves a standing ovation for the very thought of attempting the realistic story of Sr.NTR.

Music by MM Keeravani is very appealing. Few scenes are so much in sync with the BGM. The cinematography is brilliant and so is the camera work. A special mention to all the people who worked on the sets and locations of NTR. A retro backdrop is finely portrayed in each and every scene.

Final Verdict:

A perfect tribute to the legendary actor NTR. And this film NTR Kathanayakudu is for ages and a must watch movie.
