Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s next film is titled ‘Katamarayudu’. The film is based on a Tamil hit ‘Veeram’ directed by SJ Suryah.
Initially, the film was to be directed by SJ Suryah, but due to his acting commitments in Tamil films and Pk’s political commitments, he opted out of the project. Director Dolly of ‘Gopala Gopala’ fame was roped in for direction.
Director Dolly hadn’t changed the script initially but as he got free time on his hands owing to PK’s political pursuits, the director changed the script to suit the larger than life image of the actor on the lines of ‘Gabbar Singh’ that was a complete entertainment package.
The film is a love story of a factionist leader who refuses to get married though he has crossed the permissible age of marriage.
Now the good news is that PK has is in Bengaluru to work on his look of the film. Buzz is that he has allotted bulk dates to ‘Katamarayudu’ to complete the film at brisk pace. He will be starting a film with Trivikram post the completion of this much awaited flick.
The film has however completed its first schedule with character artists. The second schedule will commence on 20th of this month in Hyderabad while PK will join the sets on 24th September.
‘Katamarayudu’ is jointly produced by Pawan Kalyan and Sharath Marrar under the banner of Northstar Entertainment and the story is provided by Akula Shiva.
