Pelli Choopulu

Debutant Director Tharun Bhaskar’s ‘Pelli Choopulu’ has been amassing laurels and praises since its release. It has broken several records in terms of box office collections and has proved that a strong story is the foremost criteria for a film’s success.

Recently, the makers of the ‘Pelli Choopulu’ received ‘Akkineni’ award for the best family entertainer drama. Senior director Kodi Rama Krishna presented the award to producer Raj Kandukuri.
Post the success of the film, the actors have been flooded with offers.

Hero Vijay Deverakonda signed films in quick succession. Dwaraka on RB Chowdary’s Supergood Films directed by MSR and Arjun Reddy directed by debutant Sandeep Vanga are nearing completion and will be releasing by this yearend. Vijay was also approached to play Pawan Kalyan’s younger brother in ‘Katamarayudu’ but the deal couldn’t finalise because of date issues.

According to latest reports, Vijay has also signed a new film with new director Rahul and it will be jointly produced by director Maruthi and UV creations. The movie is expected to start shooting early next year.

Director Tharun Bhaskar is a hot cake as many production houses are vying to book the youngster including Akkineni camp.

Comedian Priyadarshini too bagged a promising role in AR Murugudoss’s prestigious project with Mahesh Babu.

However, the lead actress of the film Ritu Varma seems to be taking her own time in signing projects and she has no offers in her kitty.
