Music Director: Gopi Sunder
Love stories, especially when served with a pinch of family emotions and bonds, never fail to delight the audience. Ninnu Kori is one such a romantic feel good love story. However, Nani is in a dream spell with all his recent films turning out to be successful. Will he keep the winning streak intact with Ninnu Kori too? Let us see now:
The film revolves around the story of Pallavi (Nivetha Thomas). Pallavi is torn between her husband Arun (Aadhi Pinisetty) and her first love – Uma Maheshwar Rao (Nani). The story starts in Vizag and then shifts to New Delhi and San Francisco.
Uma and Pallavi are class mates in Vizag. Uma used to woo Pallavi and during the course, she too falls in love with him. But, due to few reasons, the couple splits away and Pallavi was married to other guy Arun (Aadhi Pinietty).
Pallavi and Arun move to the San Francisco and start living there. But, after few days, Uma came to know that his ladylove Pallavi is in trouble because of her husband. So, he flies to San Francisco to rescue Pallavi.
What happens to Uma and Pallavi’s love story? What are the reasons behind Uma and Pallavi split? How Uma saves Pallavi from her husband Arun.? Forms the rest of the story.
Of late, Nani has been choosing his scripts wisely. His films have been diverse and interesting and so is his performance in them. Ninnu Kori again is very different from Nani’s previous outings and probably that is the main reason for him to select this film.
The film is high on emotional quotient, which will impress and arrest the viewers. The movie offers a message that a man should not give up on life after he suffers a failure.
Nani showcases maturity in all the emotional scenes and he is a great comedic element in the first half with his usual fun and prank antics while he gets to wear more serious makeover in the second half which again, he plays it to the gallery. NivithaThomas has done a super impressive show, a performance that is largely satisfying
Aadhi Pinisetty has delivered brilliant performance. The main leads are the major assets of the film. Murali Sharma, Tanikella Bharani and Balireddy Pruthviraj have also done justice to their roles and they tickle your funny bone with punchlines here and there, say the viewers.
The first half is fun and pretty engaging. It had a good mix of romance and satire. The second half stretches too far and it is even harder to watch since it follows a usual triangular love story pattern. Background scores complement the emotions and moods of the sequences. True to his reputation, Gopi Sundar has entwined a musical fairy tale.
DVV Danayya has bankrolled Ninnu Kori under his banner DVV Entertainments and has made sure that the film has rich production values. Gopi Sunder’s songs and background score, Karthik Ghattamaneni’s picturisation, exotic locales and dialogues are the highlights on the technical front.
Dragged second half
Less Entertainment quotient
On the whole, Ninnu Kori is an awe inspiring magical love journey which is high on emotions. These two and a half hours will probably be the only time in one’s whole life, when we would love a fly. A feel-good triangular tale filled with adequate fun moments and good performance from Nani.
