Supreme hero Sai Dharam Tej’s latest film Winner released today. The film stars Rakul Preet and Jagapathi Babu in crucial roles. Young and talented Gopichand Malineni is the film’s director. Well, now let us see Winner will emerge as a winner at the box office or not.
The film revolves around the story of a young man who rises to the top overcoming several hurdles. Sai Dharam Tej is a young guy and he gets tangled between his dislike for horse riding and his father (Jagapathi Babu). He comes across a fitness freak and athlete named Sitara, who makes him grow interest in the horses. He instantly falls in love with Sitara and always tries to woe her. How Sai Dharam achieves his dream? Did he win or not? What happened to his love story? That Forms the rest of the story.
Sai Dharam not only proved that he is an able actor but also a promising star material. His energy, body language, ease, comic timing, dances and fights are impeccable. His histrionics reminds us of both Mega star and Powerstar (mostly Pawan Kalyan).Rakuul Preet Singh is a good actor but she has definitely upped her game and glam quotient with this film.
As an athlete, Rakul Preet Singh has done a good job and she scores with her overall performance as well! Ali, Prudhvi and Vennela Kishore's hilarious comedy is a big asset to the film. Give JagapathiBabu a role of just a nanosecond yet he leaves his mark! This finest actor once again grabs your attention and makes his presence felt. The rest of the cast Ali, Prudhvi Raj, Vennela Kishore give their best in this entertaining drama.
Gopichand Malineni can take a deep breath of relief! He cemented his place as a promising commercial director with this film. His dialogues are witty and precise with the right punch and fortunately action, comedy, drama and songs did not go overboard. He too smartly played a safe game with subtlety and decent share of comedy!
On top of it, an engaging narration laced up with occasional punch dialogues, decent comedy in the film. Thaman tunes are catchy and groovy tunes and the back-ground score was decent. The film has rich production values and picturisation, music, choreography and dance are the big attractions on the technical front.
The major drawbacks of the film are boring second half and the father sentiment did not work at all. The core point of the film is not interesting.
Winner has an engrossing narration and the commercial ingredients like action, romance, comedy and music to keep the film goers entertained and engaged throughout the film.
