Ram Gopal Varma’s much ambitious project ‘Nayeem’ is based on the life of the dreaded gangster Mohammad Nayeemuddin and seems to be facing hurdles since its inception.
Recently, after RGV announced the movie and released a theme song based on it, Nayeem’s gang mates have been making threatening calls to this maverick director. Being a daredevil that he is, RGV sidelined the threats by declaring that he was ‘Nayeemon ka Nayeem’.
Now, It is heard that the Titles Panel of Telugu Film Chamber has decided to ban titles that represent popular personalities. Recently, a film titled ‘Sindhu’ was rejected by the panel as the authorities feel that the makers are trying to cash in on the popularity of the Olympic Silver medal winner PV Sindhu.
However, RGV hasn’t approached the Film Chamber for the registration of the film’s title yet which is most likely to carry the deceased gangster’s name in it. But it surely looks that, RGV will have a hard time finding a title for his film.
This movie will be made in three parts as it covers the entire journey of the Maoist turned police informer turned mafia don Nayeem. The first part is said to be released early next year.
