Venky ready for another stint

Daggubati Venkatesh

Actor Venkatesh’ last outing ‘Babu Bangaram’ was an average grosser at the Box-office. The actor who went into hibernation made a comeback with this action comedy entertainer. Venky is busy signing films and looks to portray different roles in his upcoming movies.
Venky has currently started shooting for ‘Guru’ in Vizag. The film is a remake of Tamil-Hindi bilingual film Saala Khadoos. In the original, the story revolves around a boxing coach played by Madhavan and an aspiring female boxer played by Ritika Singh. She is reprising her role in the Telugu remake as well.
Recently, the first look of Guru was released and it has created a huge buzz. The movie is being directed by Sudha Kongara, who also has directed the original. The makers are looking to release the movie in December.
Post the completion of Guru, Venkatesh will start shooting for a light hearted comedy entertainer Aadallu Meeku Johaarlu with Nitya Menen as the female lead. The film will be directed by Nenu Sailaja director Kishore Tirumala. The film is said to be a comedy of errors between a middle aged man who is all set to marry a young girl.
There are also rumors doing the rounds that Venkatesh might star in the remake of Mohanlal’s latest hit movie ‘Oppam’. Mohan Lal plays a blind man and is accused of a murder. How he proves himself innocent forms the rest of the story. The film has been getting critical appreciation and audience thumbs up alike.
Earlier, Mohan Lal starrer Drishyam was remade in Telugu starring Venkatesh which was a big hit too.
We have to wait and see until official announcement is made regarding the same.
